I haven't really played Garou, DoA 5, or P4A, but they all look amazing. Also, I'm nor sure if Smash and Tekaichi III count here.
 
Marvel and KOF.
Kind of given up on tekken. Too many all covering options and the existence of Bob finally killed off my patience with it.
 
Dungeon Fighter Online.
-Its going through a dead phase right now, but nonetheless a really good 2D fighter MMO worth checking out.

Should've responded to this earlier, but...

My initial plan was to play to Squall and/or Terra and when I got the game I focused on those two. As I started playing random 1v1 fights against the computer, I ended up getting insanely curious as to how characters like Warrior of Light and Cloud were able to combo from normal Brave attacks into HP attacks. So I started focusing on them and leveling them a ton trying to figure out how they were doing this. Once I mastered certain attacks it became pretty clear that it was a unique ability between characters. Still I ended up getting Cloud and Warrior of Light up to around level 70 or so before I finished Dissidia.

More recently, though, I've been focused on Kain, Tifa and Gabranth. Gabranth just felt like a lot of fun trying to get into EX Mode and kick the keister outta opponents. With Kain, I was really, really impressed with him in the demo and just started focusing on him a ton. I've been on such a Dragoon kick lately that I kinda wanna play a Dragoon in FF14. =) Kain feels incredibly thought-out with his abilities. Although he's probably one of the weaker characters in the game, I just enjoy how powerful (and cool) his HP attacks are. He can be played incredibly aggressive and his ground game isn't too shabby, though its certainly not his focus.
