Dragon's Dogma

Well I summoned my buddies lvl 105 pawn and my other friends lvl 50 pawn and I beat the living shit out of a chimera. Being a warrior with two high power magic users and an archer is ridiculous.

Is there a way to make a lot of gold quickly? There is some weapons and armor I want but I lack gold and the quests on the boards aren't cutting it.

Oh and where do I find the idols that I need to give to the blacksmith and Madalene in gran soren?
If you have not beaten the game then do this: Go to the plains outside Gran Soren. Kill the oxen. Kill... ALL.. THE... OXEN.

Hang onto the meat they drop for a couple days. If you want, you can store it at the inn, then put it in your inventory when you sleep to age it without lugging it all around. When you age it a little the price it sells for goes up. Sell it before it reaches the third, rotten state. Obtain pawns with selling price bonus for even better profits. Before you weep at the plains, now devoid of "the buffalo", know that they will be back in a day. Just go rest at the inn and try not to be too creeped out as slowly the inn keeper falls more and more in love with you.

Your wanderings will take you reasonably close to the healing spring near gran Soren, so it's not a bad idea to lug along a few bottles for filling at the spring while you're farming up that red gold.

Is it strange that as I was massacring all the oxen I felt bad?

No, that's normal. I think it is anyhow. That just means you're not an asshole. Seriously, they're all just hanging out with their buddies happy as you please under the shade of a tree, not doing anybody any harm. Add to that they're trusting enough to let you just walk right up to them. Heck give them 30 seconds and they'll forgive you for stabbing them. And they're even kinda cute. It's only natural to empathize with them, even if they're not real. But a man has to eat and somebody has to save the world. Just think of yourself as being down on the farm(ing), doing what you have to if it helps. The second I started running into enemies and treasure chests that could actually pay my bills you bet I stopped killing those oxen.
