Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

okay. man. about every post you have put up since you got the game has been negative. it seems like the game is horrible to you. if someone were to go into this thread wondering whether to buy the game or not and saw your post they would think the game is trash. we get it. you don't like the game. but please make a thread about it. there are some people that actually like the game and want to understand more about it and it makes that hard for them to come into the only DOA5 thread for advice if they keep seeing negative comments here. Quit fulfilling the 8WR stereotype about only negative people existing here. next thing i know is on the RE6 thread people are going to nitpick and make it explode about how much they don't like the game or don't like whatever despite all the good things that are in the game.

OK fine, I think I a have made my points... I remember Telling everyone that Viola was broken on day one and people didn't like hearing that either!

I will give everyone the space they need to come to their own conclusion! And Poki I am not evil bro lol and this is not gossip, but i understand you guys want to celebrate! Thats cool, I made this thread for this very reason.

Final thoughts - DOA 5 demo was flawless, idiot tournament people like "Master" Rodriguez kept pushing team ninja to make it more like DOA 4 and now were back to a game that has way too many stuns and requires way too much guessing! There, now I'm done!

Celebrate!

For those interested, "GUTS" was held in Massachusetts this past weekend at the same time as Season's Beatings.
Thank you.

Not to set trip or anything, but... I honestly think DOA looks a lot better than Tekken does. Juggles are short, movement isn't glitchy (though that'll change, ha!) and... I don't know, I can't put my finger on it. It just seems more authentic. You know?

Whiffed holds are kind of ew, but the aesthetics are good enough for me to overlook it. I think they had the right idea going for "fighting entertainment".

The game's gotta look good!

You know, I totally realize this may be just me. I haven't played since DOA1. But I'm getting the feeling that online really is as bad as everyone said it was. I'm facing people who seem to just be smashing their faces into P and K, attacking at disadvantage, and they're still interrupting me through my block punishes. It's not like I'm using a slow character either.

Or does this game really just have that many frame traps? I'll keep trying to get good at this, but if the netcode is really as crappy as I'm beginning to think it is, I don't have much hope for my long term interest. This is way worse than T6 and SC4.

Just got the game. (Came a day early? I must be lucky...)

Things are a lot smoother in person. Game looks nice.

141414 and 44214214214 seem very effective. I have to wonder why I haven't seen this kind of movement in tournament videos.

Throws are fast!

I love having a dedicated taunt button.

Well, guess it's time to start playing now.

... Nice boat.
