threw me off too for a while. but it's the same with Resident Evil 6. the Select button skips cutscenes.

also. is there a way to change Japanese/English audio in DOA5?

Wow really, I mashed every button but that one to try to skip.

And yeah you can have Japanese voices, in sound option.
