Takeda says what's up

Hey.

To start, I'm not exactly new to the FGC, and competitive play. My first game that I really took seriously was Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. The reason why, was because my friend had a knack for picking up games, and becoming really good at them, so I guess that inspired me**coughmademejealousandpissedmeoffcoughcough*, causing me to search for help and tactics online. I later came to DOACentral where I learned the basics of fighting games, which I then applied to DOA2U and SC4(considering he made it tough for me on there too even without borrowing the game -.-).

But now it's about more than beating my friend in fighting games, it's about getting into the competitive scene, especially at offline gatherings to test my skill and have fun most of all.

I'm at 8WR to learn about SC5 right now. Since SC4, I've been in a big world, small pond situation, but even still back then I picked up Cassandra about a year after owning the game and I was in love with her style since then. It's the reason I picked up Pat and Pyr Omega. I also know alittle Nightmare, Mitsu, and Z.W.E.I.

PSN - Speederman7(Shared with bro, so ask for Takeda)

Games I plan to compete at:
DOA5(on the 25th of this month) - Hayate and Eliot
SC5 - Pat and Pyrrha
T6/TTT2 - Lars and Jin(I know it seems like I'm a typical Mishima Player... But I picked them up because I like their moves, try me in T6)
VF5(online maybe in the future as Jean)

Anyway, it's nice to meet you guys, and don't hesitate to request a fight with me, I'm always looking to improve as well as have good matches.

That's a good introduction, man. Feel free to look up the Soul Arenas of your respective favorites to learn quickly how to be effective with them. One word of advice. If you seek to be competitive, you should look for hard competition after you're done with the basics/pwning newbs. You'll level up a lot faster.

Welcome to 8wr! If you need any help around here feel free to contact me :D . I would suggest checking out the soul arena for characters you like and having some nice discussions there :) . and again, Welcome!
Thanks, I actually have, since Pat was a bit different his mother and sibling, I read up on DrakeAldan's guide which helped me a lot. Problem is, all I know is Pat lol.

Me and my bro actually do seek out hard people online; more so me, because I wanted to level up my game for sure. Even though I have stepped up, I'm only mediocre, and impulsive when it comes to playing though I understand the notations, frames, and basics. Apparently I still have a long way to go since good people still can 3-0 me, with no problems.

Nonetheless, thank you, and I'll keep looking through to learn more about match ups and such.
