Solve the mystery

I want to know what it is so bad. :(

So far we know that,
  • The old man is blind
  • The younger man is the old man's son
  • The younger man's mother died
  • The younger man unintentionally killed his mother some how
  • The old man was with his wife when she died
  • The wife died somehow via explosives
  • The restaurant they are at is above the French docks
  • The old man holds a grudge
  • The old man shoots his son because of this said grudge
  • When the old man shouted 'seagull' he literally meant the bird
  • The old man was blinded by what killed his wife
  • The old man is angry at the young man
  • The wife was not buried
  • The waiter was not apart of this.
  • The old man's grudge has something to do with seagulls
  • The old man was aware that he was shooting his son
Okay, now for my question (Juece, I'm not sure if this would be considered the answer, but it's not the reason why he shot his son, but I've put it in spoilers just in case.)

Did the son accidentally set off an explosion that killed his mother and made seagulls fly at his fathers eyes?
And here are other questions.

Is the young man a terrorist?
Is the old man a terrorist?
Is the young man in a crime syndicate?
Is the old man in a crime syndicate?
