Uhhh what? They have to actually MAKE the content you know. That requires money, and it's money outside the budget of the normal game. If they couldn't sell it to you they simply would not make the content.
Yeah they have to make the stuff, but it's not EXTRA stuff. It isnt content that is being thought up and added at a later point. It doesnt require any more work on their part to develop these things unless it was DLC created at a later point. Which disc locked content cant be, since the information is already there. I dont think DLC is a bad thing when done right, which is in the form of large content based expansions like Super Street Fighter, or the talked about re-release of SCV. That is stuff that requires effort to create.
Locking things onto the disc like what was done with SFxT is just a lazy way for them to make some more money. If you believed the philosophy that anything locked onto the disc was done without thought for the budget of the original game, they could literally and quite easily lock away any content they wanted, regardless of whether or not they actually spent any extra time or money on it and give us the "choice" of whether or not we deemed it necessary to have.
