The best games you've never heard of.

Ephemeral Fantasia
Pros
-Interesting story
-Traditional Turn based combat
-Hilarious talking instrument
-Skill system that required other party members to use their own techniques a certain amount of times then you magically figure out some cool shit from watching them.
- Actually had to use the in game clock to be places on certain days for special events otherwise you will just repeat the same five days for nothing,
-Time Loop creates a sense of urgency because if you miss the day and time due to exploring or doing other stuff you will have to wait until time resets.

Cons
-The time loop is a bitch in the beginning because you don't know what's going on. This is actually the only one I remember since I haven't played or thought about it since '02 but once you figure out something's that need to be done it turns into a Pro.

Brigandine
Pros
-Strategy Game
-Colorful character personalities
-Able to form Alliances with other Kingdoms and cause enemy generals to defect if you have someone they have a connection to in the fight with them.
-Class system (Mage>Wizard>Druid) for your Knights
-Monsters (Dragons, Centurians, Golem) as foot soldiers who also had a class system (Centaur>High Centaur)
-Some of the most Badass character designs I have ever seen.

Cons
-I never finish the damn game and I have been playing it off and on for over a decade. *Hangs Head In Shame*

Gladius was a great turn-based strategy/RPG gladiator game by Lucas Arts. You could build a school of gladiators, animals, and mythological creatures and battle your way to glory. There was a lot of variety and depth to it, I really enjoyed it.

Infinite Undiscovery has a very unique and interesting storyline and cast of characters and I enjoyed the combat system as well. The only down side, really, was the very mediocre voice acting.

Last Remnant, but that was mentioned already.

Galactic Civilizations II. Not really unheard of, but still not very well-known.

After reading Wandrian's post, I really want to try Nier now.
