the lizardmand and spiderman weren't in the manga, nor were they needed. the pig head was a typical bat monster vampire, not pig head. shaft obviously felt the need to distort all the vampires into some sort of animal orgy fest or something.

the vampires in the manga didn't have animal themes at all. their shape and form either follow the classic lore closely or at least resembles devil incarnate. black mist, bat monster, amalgamation of assorted devil parts, and they felt like genuine monsters. even the special cases like shape changer and twin bond and stuff are cool in their own right.

the point is the manga can draw lower class vampire enemies as bat monsters and focus on the real important stuff like stories and presentation effects while the anime staff felt the need to change this. their end results only make people raising eye brows and says WTF in unison. half the time people enter the discussion threads on the episodes to joke about the animal of the week rather than talking about the specific changes and what to expect for the stories.

regarding awakened true mina, I don't know which version you are watching, but in the original japanese raw dump, awakened mina was a glowing lightbulb in her awakened form. it was ridiculous. take that figure you posted, replace all the flesh with orange glowing light, and you get anime awakened mina. she wasn't naked, she was censored.

Also Vampire Bund the anime was awesome too bro. The opening episode was dumb but the rest was great. SHAFT does great work man.

NO vampire bund was a decent entertaining manga but an awful anime. And that was SHAFT fault. Because they think their "random" direction fits all, but it doesnt.

SHAFT does good job with things that are random in nature, such as Sayonara or Arakawa, but spoils anything with a "normal structure plot" such as Negima, Dance or Bakemonogatari.

I apreciate that studio when they do things that work well with their direction, they made trully masterpieces. But I hate when take an story and randomize it just to fit their way of doing things, because in that case the result is a not sattisfiying at all.

HA that's total bull.

SHAFT is fantastic in general and their style isn't always based on a random factor at all, it just their stylized weird shit.
Bakemonogatari is great, Dance was totally fine and Negima?! was better than the first fucking series in every way except for the ecchi part. Which wasn't SHAFTs idea to get rid of, and the Negima OVAs, especially the later ones have some of the best action sequences in anime period, it fits it well.
Not to mention Sayonara and Arakawa are great too as are any/all their comedies.
As are their shows with Gainax such as Mahoromatic and Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai.

You see this is why us talking is stupid. Stop comparing it to the manga, any show or book or game or whatever should only be judged on it's own merit, what it's based off of shouldn't matter. Any entertainment medium should be seen on it's own.

The Dance anime was fine, i didn't question shit when the pigs showed up because it's just the show and it fit this anime fine, because they made it so. Doesn't matter if it was in the manga or not.
So it doesn't matter what changes were made because they don't need to talked about.
And the story was fine and told fine, i saw no issue.

And it also sounds to me that you watched it as it was airing on japanese tv where it was censored to shit, and was said to be so by every anime news source known to mankind, instead of the actual uncensored release of the show on DVD both there and HERE by FUNimation? I mean hell it's on Netflix streaming and it's totally uncensored.
So this is just a lesson to YOU to stop watching ecchi anime during it's release and just wait for DVD/Blu-Ray release.
Or it being licensed of course.

even if not compared to the glory of the original, the adaptation is still medicore on it own compare to other animes that actually earned the title of awesome. it's been a while since I have watched it so I can't point out the specifics, but the series was just decent through out, not great.

the lowest point for me was that it's a 13 episode series, yet it waste an entire episode on summary. making the entire series 12 episodes long.

btw, I watched the series on AT-X raw dump, this channel IS for the real unedited uncensored broadcast for any ecchi anime. if the material is still censored in this version, it's deal breaker for me.

And i didn't say it's AMAZING bro, the show wasn't amazing it was just good (i said GREAT but i used that term before this little verbal scuffle started to just be hype). It's not bad at all and ya the episode they spent on breaking it down is a negative, yet it's still good.

And NO, AT-X is the most pro-active channel in uncensored anime however they still have to follow the restrictions forced on them, and they have a LOT of restrictions man. No show that i've seen since 04 on that channel, even their online service, has been actually uncensored, just LESS censored.
Basing your any part of your view on a show on censorship, without seeing the uncensored version of it is retarded man.

Also it's called BUY THE SHOW, yknow.... support the anime scene? Or just torrent the DVD/Blu-Ray releases like anyone who wants uncensored content and does things illegally does.
At the very least look the show up before trying to complain about it to another person.
