I've been playing it for a while now. One of my flatmates is really into it so I've had quite a bit more practice now. Still nothing above competent mind you. I just mostly abuse the fact that Potemkin Buster over-rides a lot more than it has any right to, and Anji, but I'm a bit shit with him to be honest.

Firstly, Robo-Ky has the fastest Dust in the game, not Sol.

Secondly, Sol's DP is the best in the game. It has the most frames of full invincibility and also has a knockdown (I know, Ky's does too, but Sol's is generally more reliable).

Finally, my experience with GF FRC rushdown is that it's fairly easy to 1Fj out of if done any sort of distance away.

Depends on the wakeup strategy, the invincibility frames don't mean much if you have a turn around air attack wakeup atrategy. Sol's doesn't stop that kind of wakeup game. Chances are that his DP will wiff since he moves forward like Ken. In general you are right, but Sol's is actually the easiest DP for me to deal with, personally as an Anji player...

Whoops, 2 Frames... Well that is different, but Sol's is still fast enough to be used in a mind game, as much as Robo Ky. The biggest real difference would be for linking into a dust combo.

The game is complicated, but I think it is not hard to be good in GG. It is much slower to pick up than Street Fighter, but I think it is much easier to be good. If you learn how to do combos and can block, you are pretty good. Being able to do that in Street Fighter barely means you are qualified to be a beginner. Despite the complicated combos and the comboing system, I still find GG combos way easier than links in other 2D fighters.

GG is probably my favorite fighter out there. I'm a Ky player (I use his Reload kick colors, the all white one).

For some reason, I find GG a lot easier to get into than games like Marvel or 3s. I think it's because all the characters feel so mobile compared to either of those two games. There are times, though, when I just completely fail to do something and it makes me sad.

I found you there. Do you still play Dizzy? Since I actually became good, I haven't really played tournament. I played a little bit a while earlier, but those were more local tournaments where I got ritualistically slaughtered by Jamie Austin. Not to say that I wouldn't still get ritualistically slaughtered, but I'd like to think I can do better now.

I completely agree about the mobility of the game. Good players are very mobile in MVC2, but I do like the freedom in mobility and the options in attack strategies when using Roman Cancels and Force Roman Cancels.
