Im looking for an anime thats similar to Beck - meaning it features a realistic depiction of slice of life and the main character isn't a girl or a fucking retarded boy.

I saw the first couple episodes of Beck and didnt like it, so I stopped, if someone trys to convince me in this thread ill watch the whole thing but im not convinced about it right now.

I recently finiished watching Scrapped Princess, which was awesome. I loved it. Now I'm watching Samurai 7 which is slow, but im trying to finish it so I can have an opinion ;o.

Samurai 7 is alright, but the production values really take a hit in the second half. It would have been much better if they'd cut down on the filler a bit and shortened it to about 16 episodes.

no i think the Samurai 7 length was fine, just keep it interesting. LOVE that OP theme song too.
