Help with a controller for SCV

The D-pad is pretty much exactly the same from PS2 to PS3 as far as I know, so I assume it's all placebo on your part. But if you prefer old school d-pad, get a PS1 controller and buy a converter for that - awesome d-pad of a PS controller without bulky "triggers" and analog sticks.

The d-pad looks the same but it's not. Even the newest ps2 controllers use the updated model. I had this problem too. My d-pad gradually seemed more smooth after countless hours of play but I cant truly say it's as good as a classic ps2 controller. The trigger R2 and L2 also creates ambiguity with when the attack activates so its hard to encorporate thos buttons for JFs.

A classic ps2 controller with a converter seems like a decent option for your situation. Unless there is another reason the pad isn't working out for you.
