BlazBlue - GuiltyGear's next gen cousin

I was just watching since I don't know much about BB. I'll probably play it on the weekend when no one else is on the machine so that way I can spend some time learning it uninterrupted. I can't learn a new fighter when people are also trying to play and fight you.

It's just great to have some new fighting games to play. I'll let you know more of my thoughts when I play it for a bit, but the game is just gorgeous to look at.

Malice, it really DOES look way better in motion than on the videos.

I feel like the myriad of games is hurting my skills in each. STHD (and the corresponding SF4), SC4, and BlazBlue all are totally different games, and I'm finding myself great at SC4, decent at STHD, and then total shit at BlazBlue. Then again, I played SC2 like nobody's business, and then SC4 has been playing nonstop at my house all vacation...

I've been talking with my friends (who are better at BB & way worse at SC4) and they suggested that it's more a Melty Blood that looks like Guilty Gear. I'm actually just about to spend some time with MB myself, see if it might help me get a little better.

Playing a bunch of fighters will do that sometimes since it ultimately comes down to how much time you spend on learning the game, practicing, etc. You have to decide which games you just want to play for fun and which you want to spend your time on to really get good and beat other people.

I looked at the movelist for some of the characters and the inputs aren't that hard, so my challenge would be remembering the moves and combos, which I probably won't be able to do until the game comes out on the console because I won't be at the arcade enough to play it. With work, family, other commitments, and SC4, my time is limited, so I got to focus on the fighter that I want to be great at.

I'll just be playing BB for fun because I don't see myself being great at it and since I will be spending most my time on SC4 which is what I want to be great at. But I'm sure I will be good at BB since I am better at 2D fighters than I am at 3D fighters. And if you can play MB, then you should be able to play BB.

IMO, this game shouldn't be taken seriously, is another self-Japanese-monotonic anime style-ripoff, like the rest of today's Japanese anime, same character, same problems, SAME voices, just an almost different look, and barely. There's Sol, Ky, Potemkin, etc.

They used to be very creative people, but not anymore I guess.

Btw, this just my opinion, I'm not looking forward to discuses about this... thing.
I hope the game turns out to be fun and fair to play, since that is what matter at the end.

You can also say stuff like that about games like street fighter 4. There's ryu, ken, chun-li...oh wait.
