Controllers with the exact same layout for PS3 and Xbox 360

Let me know if you guys have any questions on the MLG Pro Circuit Controller...

I have a few!

- Will you be able to buy new cables/modules sepereately from the controller if necessary?
- Are the buttons identical on both the PS3 and 360 versions (besides appearance)?
- Will there be any new d-pad/analog "modules" available once the MLG pads launch?
- When will they be available for purchase? And will they be available in Canada? :D

I most definitely do. Alright, first up:

I even heard you can switch the Xbox 360 analogue for the PS3's analogue as well as the d-pads and vice versa.
Is this actually true? Can you switch the 360's d-pad with the PS3's d-pad? I absolutely love the d-pad on the PS3, and would love to have it.

The only thing I'm weary about is that the face buttons uses membrane technology instead of micro switches..
I don't know what this means at all. What's the difference between membranes and micro-switches?

And lastly, can you take the analog sticks off entirely, and not have to worry about accidentally bumping into it?

membrane is basically some sorta sponge placed underneath the buttons. Micro-switches are mechanical and when you push any button with this kind of mechanism you'll hear a click-like sound.

The responsiveness with membrane technology is just like your average Xbox 360/PS3 pad, but the micro-switch technology allows more sharper responsiveness.

I'll try and get back to the other questions whenever possible.

Since I've heard you guyz are using membrane for the face buttons; will there be plans on making them with micro-switches as an expensive alternative?
