Obama or McCain?

The thing is, I would leave this country if I were rich enough. I could tear Obama's plans apart with FACTS, but why bother?

They think: If I'm "patriotic," I SHOULD pay more taxes to "help the needy."

I think: If I'm patriotic, I CHOOSE who is needy.

Comments are getting a little over the top. It is clear you have an opinion that is in the minority, but you don't have to make yourself look like the villain because you are a conservative.

If you can truly tear his plan apart, then do it. I like an intelligent debate, but don't just say you can tear apart. Talk is cheap without evidence or logic.

I completely disagree with you. Increasing taxes maybe a dissinsentive to stay in the country, but I would like to believe that most people that live here life here for a reason besides being rich. I understand the concept of the American dream, but most people will not simply move away from their lives, and they families to pay less in taxes. Some people might to ignore taxes, but that has always happened, and I doubt that anything like that would be a "REAL" deterrence to Obama's economic plan.

What people fail to realize is that you are not voting for the president you are voting for the vice president.
Mcain will have a heart attack or die of natural causes and Obama will be assassinated by the KKK

I dont like the thought of our nuclear arsenal in the hands of Palin

Let's start with case 1. Obama says he will give 95% of Americans a tax cut.
Fact 1: 30% of Americans don't pay income taxes because "they're too poor."
Fact 2: 15% of Americans don't pay Net taxes because the welfare they get offsets their taxes (similar to a 100% tax return you get for filing year end)
Fact 3: 95% - 45% = 50%, meaning he's only giving 50% of Americans get a tax cut

Case 2. Obama taxes the 5% to pay for the 50% tax cut.
Fact 1: Higher Income Tax (if you're rich)
Fact 2: Higher Social Security Tax (if you're rich)
Fact 3: Higher Capital Gains Tax (if you're rich)

Case 3: Obama wants to increase spending on the 95% he's giving a tax cut to.
Fact 1: 45% at the bottom will get a surplus (benefit > payment)
Fact 2: 50% will pay for it (again, this is me)
Fact 3: 5% will pay for it but get no benefit (payment > benefit)

Case 4: Obama wants to fix the social security deficit with his "donut approach" (this is a payroll tax change in which you pay social security tax up to the first ~$110,000 per year income, then escape it up to $250k, before paying it again for income over $250k)
Fact 1: Social security benefits for 95% of people covered by 5% at top.
Fact 2: Social secuity is MATCHED by employers
Fact 3: Employers are "rich," therefore, they pay it internally again.

I have not taken a single stance on any of these facts. Just read, and ask yourself is this really what you think will make this country better?

As for other reasons coming to this country, that was last century. In today's world, a lot of other countries are moving towards the US rights model.

So do we want corporatism to continue or do we want to usher in an era of State-Socialism.

I'm voting third party.
