How I am legend should have ended

How I Am Legend should have ended?

Like the book.

/thread (yes the answer is so definitive and truthful that even this douchey signoff is appropriate...)

Will Smith and some godawful writer ruined and raped the story from everythign to the solitude and lack of other survivors right down to the ending which gave the reason for the fucking title being "I AM Legend" in the first place. Awful.

Will drags the zombie girl out then the other zombie who liked her or w/e (you see him when will first captures the girl) gets her and then they make out and have.... no just joking he just gets her stares at will then leaves if i remember correctly.

So he survives and he's still a legend but not like one cause he died or owt. Anyway using a grenade with a massive fuse and going out in a big explosion is like 100000000000x more manly tho. But i agree the book ending makes more sense.

The saddest part of the movie for me tho is when the dog sam dies :( And tbh Will plays his role quite well.

In the book he finds out that although appearing monstrous and feral the Vampires (Yes they are vampires in the book although the film makes them extremely zombielike) do actually have a culture and way of life with one another. In their society having known no different they see him as the frightening plague which spreads from place to place killing hundreds of their number in their sleep. (Because vampires slept through the day he used to go hosue to house taking them out) He eventually comes to realise that being the only human and them being the main race of the world in these times such is the status quo that to them he is the monster and butcher of their kind and they the poor normal people trying to defend themselves from his slaughter and that he will go down in their histories as a monster to be feared and told stories of. They eventually capture and kill him after one of them goes to him pretending to be another human to catch him off guard and he is executed by their government. It's quite a good book. I would actually reccomend it. Absolutely everythign was changed by the film for example he never finds another human surivor it's just a vampire pretending to be one, he never has a dog he finds the dog frightened and alone and such is his loneliness he spends weeks trying to befriend the panic stricken injured dog but it eventually dies, the book is actually english involving an englishman in england, it's set much much earlier in time then the present day just...Everything.
