AstralHeat.com WTF?!?

I think most 8wayrun'ers first reaction upon going there is "wtf".

I don't care for the game or that site, but having it be an exact copy of this site is kinda lame. It makes this site lose its originality.

Idc either way. If this is a bad move for the site(s), then Jaxel has to pay for his action. If this is a good move, then Jaxel gets the benefits. It's his risk/reward; nuff said.

And these were my thoughts exactly. lol

Good luck with the site, Jaxel.

I haven't had any problem finding what I needed on Dustloop, and I haven't seen many jerks, if I've even seen one I'm not sure. The community is in place, the website works fine, and people know where to go. I just hope we don't see another community split on this.

haven't posted before but I follow what goes on. Personally I kind of felt like the new site was unnecessary. It pretty much caters to 8wayrun members. Sure it's nice to talk about the game with people of this site whom you already know but a BB group would have been sufficient for that. That's what was done with street fighter IV. Now SRK is just as easy to navigate as dustloop but no new site was created because that site was too dominate. Now 8wayrun has one of the best setups especially with RSVP'ing for tournaments, online tournaments, flash chat, video section. But just because the 8wayrun setup is superior to pretty much any other setup doesn't mean that all inferior sites should follow the 8wayrun way. Helping them have it for themselves would be better but this seems a little hostile and will only bring hostility towards SC players. And really the "Our fighting game is better than yours, 2D better than 3D" arguments are tiresome as it is, this would only further the problem and direct all the negativity to SC.

I went over and read the thread on dustloop and the general opinion was to not make the new site. SO I'm not sure where the "massive support" came from. If it was from posts and PM's on this site, like I mentioned before it caters to this site therefore those opinions are biased. I even like the AH site cause I'm used to this site but I still can't help wondering if it's right. Was there massive support from players on dustloop through PM's? And were these members who've had an account for atleast a few months? Cause it's easy for an army of new people to dislike a site setup or "attitude" if they are new and haven't yet discovered the way things work. I didn't like the old SC site and attitudes of players until I got used to it. Just my 2 cents.
