His video also has an obnoxiously high bitrate and I could just watch the movie in the time he takes talking about it. But no, I've been thoroughly convinced by several reviews including this one (he and his brothers specifics told me all I needed to know. Dogs humping, racism, camera work that seems primed to induce seizures and a plot that seems to be having one. In short, it's Micheal Bay!), NOT to go see this movie. In theatres anyhow. I know people will pack theaters, I know it will make umpteen bazillion dollars, and I am always an advocate of trying to understand "what you are against" so to speak, but more over I believe you cast a vote with your movie going dollar, and I do not want to vote for Micheal Bay, or any film I have to "turn my brain off" to enjoy. For 14 dollars California ticket price, I think I'll wait for a movie my brain can enjoy too, even if it's in the most marginal sense. After all I still have to think about my wallet when the picture's over. If I can think of only one thing to see this movie for it is to go into it with a tape recorder so that when my brother eventually sees it on dvd I can play the recording like a bonus track. He can hear every uproarious peal of laughter, the applause and cheers at the inane events and we can laugh or shudder at the public at large.
Another review that was well worth reading:

Can anyone who saw the film tell me this: Are there way too many people with blue eyes? In every film I've seen from him, blue eyes were a requisite for close ups and the population was represented as being 99% blue eyed.
Transformers was EXACTLY what the movie industry needed.
And if you dont like it, go watch Elizabethtown or Garden State, you pussy.
TF fans didn't want a Transformers movie to be Casablanca or Citizen Kane; that would be equally inappropriate for the franchise, and really boring besides. A smart, talky movie isn't the opposite of a Michael Bay film, although he would like very much to think it is. The opposite of a Michael Bay film is a good film, a genuinely entertaining film, and that's all that TF fans were hoping for, and that's what they didn't get.
