Will There Ever be a WCMaxi Replacement?

Unlike a lot of the community and groupies, I'm not a WCMaxi nut rider. However, I must give this man credit for what he has done for the community when Soul Calibur was on the rise. He IMO was the best tourney organizer/runner when he was completely active. Also very firm in his rules and preparing his guys. After SC2, there have a been a few people to step up to the challenge of promoting good tourneys and we are thankful for that. WCMaxi just had a way getting people together and really being interested in the game, hell he organized a team for France which we won convincing and brought the title back to the states. No matter the differences I had with the guy, we overcame and challenged each other about our Calibur beliefs/getting the community drama going. We is that nowadays? So many people spend time talking about quitting. Where is the pride and honor in enjoying your hobby? I get, there are a lot of us out there that does not like losing, but what made me stronger throughout the years was learning from that. Anyone can tell you I wasnt born overnight in calibur, my rep in Tekken carried over as far as people wanting to prove that I couldnt come to Soul Calibur and dominate. With that being said, could you imagine being a newcomer and losing when you knew everyone was going to jump on it? It's a pretty rough road.

WCMaxi once said to me after I won or when I was gunning for someone that won a major tourney, "You only champ for one day, now prepare for the next tourney." I never understood that until a year or so later. I realized that consistently winner or placing top held more weight that winning one then place horribly. I appreciate everything WCMaxi should and the people that he mentored before he quit Fighters and then moved to Japan. This is my way of saying thanks and I miss what you introduced to the community.

I'm making a promise to the community right now, I'm not going to disappoint come SC5 and i'm going to bring as much hype as possible to the community. My tolerance with be very low for bitching just for the hell of it, leaders in the community that's going to try and encourage others to quit the game because they dont like it or tired of losing, and people always fucking with the noobs like you never been in their shoes. Lastly, let's get ready for SC5 and support our game like other communities do with their shit ie; Street Fighter, tekken, MK, WOW, COD, etc.

Again thank WCMaxi!!!

You already know how I feel about the subject, so, all I can do is vow that, no matter what, Chicago/Midwest is going to the strongest region come SC5 and folks better start getting their shit together if they want us to even think they'll be comp.

Out of curiosity, why was this put in the new player arena? No other place seemed to fit?

In any case, it's cool. I'm interested to see where this discussion goes.
