Tokusatsu Thread Part V

Actually, it's my thrid attempt to try and make a thread about Tokusatsu (It will most likey get shot down again; however, don't care. I'm bored. :p). :p Currently watching Kamen Rider W, Shinkenger, and Dairanger. Anybody else watch any Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Godzilla, or any other type of shows ?

yes. i'm a kaiju freak. and yes, Godzilla is one of my favorite kaiju monsters. but no. i do not like kamen rider, power rangers (the first season of power rangers was actually pretty cool, i'll even go so far as to say up to the first movie, power rangers was alright. but after that, i stopped liking it.)

don't know why the others got shot down. but if this goes up in smoke. at least i'm here to help ya out before then.

I was the same was with Power Rangers myself. :p As soon as Turbo was out, that killed it for me too, and yes first season is definitlly the best one. :D Believe it or not, i've never watched any of the Godzilla movies (The 1998 movie doesn't count. :p). I've always wanted to see the ones with Mechagodzilla, King Ghidorah and 2000. >:)

yeah.. i love me some godzilla. i would have to say that my favorite all time godzilla movie is Godzilla era was the 90's godzilla. i mean the monster concepts were a lot of fun. Baby was awesome. but i do love me some classic godzillas as well. final wars was horrendous. i mean it was okay at first but... yeah frequent viewings really showed its flaws to me and i lost interest in it hella quick.

OOO.. do you collect figures for these things as well? if so what and where do you get them?
I had a couple of them and i'm waiting for the latest honeybones godzilla to come out. (honeybones is a company name) anywho..

if i had to recommend one godzilla movie, it would have to be the original. godzilla 1954 japanese version. the rest are just as sweet. but something about the original... just special.

That's true. The first ones are usually the best. :) Definitlly check those movies out. :D

I actually used to be a huge fan of Sentai (Loved Magiranger and Gekiranger); however, after i saw Kabuto, i switched over to Kamen Rider. I mean Sentai and Kamen Rider have great storylines and action scenes to it; however in Sentai's case, some of the series feels kiddiefied and watered down (One of the reasons i couldn't stand Go-onger. :p). Also, there's unnessary posing everytime they do something. >_<

I'm mosty watching the Heisei Rider series for now because there's almost no decent subs for Showa Riders. Not really a fan of HK subs. :\ There's alot of plots that get lost in translation. >_< I'm assuming you probably have the same issue with Godzilla. :p That is unless you understand the language. :\ If you do, your a lucky guy. XD

Yes i'm actually starting to collect some figures (Some of them are US figures thou. :p). Kinda small at the moment thou. :p The purple one is Wolzard (Magiranger), the silver one is Boukensilver (Boukenger), and of course the Green Ranger (This figure was so hard to find. The shield comes off too. :p) Randon anime characters are Tekkaman Blade, God Gundam, and Mr. Satan. All of these were at my Toys R Us, except Blade. I got Blade on eBay.

I also am waiting for some of my Rider figures to come in i ordered. I ordered my figures from Toys N Joys. Sometimes there a bit pricey, but they usually have a good stock if you can't find something. One of them they didn't have thou, so i went to eBay again for that one. :p
