the scrub factor...

Been thinking about this. More specificly mashers. It might just be the fact that I am a scrub myself. But I would at least like to put myself in first place in a tournament full of scrubs.........

...................Anyway. It seems that all they do is mash buttons. Theres no real rhyme or reason to what they do but its all thay know. But from what I have witnessed it would appear that they can interupt you like no other.

For instance. I might go into SXS with Xiangua. Someone of any degree of skill might see the glow and look for what I do in order to predict my patterns. Going into SXS against a masher isnt possible. They don't care if they are getting hit because they are still trying to hit back.

These guys also will never fall for your guessing games because of the way in which they play. And so...a question comes from this. Is there a certain genious in the way these guys play? Or am I in a boat all by myself?

I understand what you are saying and I can only say...no. However my roomate has a way of where it seems that he can interrupt any semblance of a mind game game that you are trying on him. It's like with him when in doubt hit 'em. Lol! Works for him more often than not.

I understand this. Basically you attempt baiting tactics or mix ups to confuse expert players used to common tactics and patterns. A good opponent will play safe and often block before they attempt to CH on guess. Scrubs however will predictably always attack while rising and after being hit. You can never use any tactics designed to cause them to break pace and block or shift position, because they don't play reactively. Scrubs play like the game is 1p and it's all about what shenanigans you can link together, they don't understand frame data and what not. So it's always best to spam your fastest moves and strings designed to rack up dmg on CH vs scrubs because playing mix up games will often lead to them scoring a CH out of luck rather than a skillful prediction that you took the delayed option in the mixup rather than see it through and risk block disadvantage.

While this garbage works online (mitsus, maxis, and cervys I'm lookin at you) offline they can only get away with so much since we have the ability to GI their predictable ass. My favorite thing to do to these bastards is GI them...and only GI them. Ever put someone in flashing red SG off of ONLY GI? It's fuckin hawt.

It does teach that risk is a part of them game and sometimes when you see that mix up, expect that pro to think your a pro and be tricky with a delay...then CH him with a scrub move by ignoring the scenario. While the risk could have you badly beaten...if it lands it mind fucks them pretty bad into thinking it was intentional and you read the delay.
