I read somewhere that a couple guys compete against each other in speedruns of Metroid occasionally. The two of them just start up a game on different TVs and race to see who can beat the game first. That got me thinking, what if we do something like that for Megaman 9? I don't know how much interest there'd be, but I'm thinking of running a local competition like that. People compete to get the best time for an entire playthrough. The place I'd do it at has 4 TVs, though I'm upset it'd have to be done through Xbox 360 (between me and the host, we'd have 2 Wiis but 4 360s). It'd be judged by real time, not game time, and you'd be disqualified upon losing all lives.
Has anyone run something like that? If so, I'd appreciate any input in making this work.
