About time. It looks like Sega's finally come to their senses and made a 2D Sonic game, aptly named Sonic the Hedgehog 4. I'm not sure whether to get hyped for this because Sega has failed me every time they've released a new Sonic game, however, this one is actually 2D and seems to follow the original formula, unlike all the other attempts. Then again, it's Sega. What do you think?

Looks like it's divided into episodes as well. Don't know how that will affect it.
 
Ok Sega. a 2D sonic. Thats a start in the correct direction with this blue hedgehog.

We'll see if this shit holds true.
 
FUCK YES!!!!!! I can't tell you how excited this news makes me! I always thought a 2D Sonic on a next gen system would look extra sweet because of all the colors and crap they can do. All they have to do is make the gameplay on par with Sonic and Knuckles, put a 2 player mode in reminiscent of Sonic 2 split screen but without the squishing (lol) maybe even online 2 player, and most important (IMO of course), make the music as good as it used to be in the older sonic games. That means catchy tunes that get stuck in your head and you hum them at school/work lmao! Sega you don't have to do rock and roll soundtracks like the sonic adventure games, just like you're going retro with the 2D and graphics, stay true to the old school sonic music also please!
