PS3 Slim popping noises?

I traded in my old PS3 for a new Slim and immediately noticed it had some kind of popping noise coming from it. It happens here and there every time I turn it on, and as a movie is playing. Not sure if it's the laser moving down the track that's causing the popping, something else, or I just got a weird PS3 Slim.

Anyone else having this problem? If it's isolated, I may just trade it in for one of those new $250 GB models.

Now then, when you purchase movies and tv shows on PSN, do you have to buy those all over again? I know I was able to re-download all my games I purchased, so I figure it's the same, but when I bring up my downloads, it doesn't have all my previous downloads listed.
 
My slim doesn't do that, thankfully. If it came like that out of the box I say invoke the return policy.
 
Dude don't worry I saw a bunch of threads about this on a ps3fourm. Its nothing to worry about i think its just the plastic cooling down or something.
