PS3 messages issue

Has anybody had any fuckups with their message box? Like a couple of people on my friend list have messages next to their names, but when I check the messages nothing shows up, and usually at the top is a message by someone completely different. I delete that message...and it still says there's a message.

Only way it disappears is if I delete my entire message box, but then it happens again right away.

I don't think the PS3 is as fool proof as it seems. I've also been trapped in the message screen when trying to message someone during games...and the only way out is to quit and reload.

My stupid PS3 freezes like every other day in the message screen during SC4 and I have to turn the system off to get out. I shudder to think of what that is doing to my system as well.

I've had similar problems. All I can say is..they fucked up with 2.50 firmware.

I didn't have any problems with my PS3 prior to that update, but now my PS3 will lock up while trying to reply back to a mail in-game, so I'll have to quit the game and open the message again.

I've also had my PS3 freeze and have to turn it off completely after receiving mail while playing a game. I don't have any of these problems unless I'm playing a game though.

So yeah..it's definitely a firmware issue. Much like 2.40, some were affected while others weren't. I didn't have problems back then, but looks like I get to be the one to suffer now. At least until another update is released anyway.
