Original character but different fighting style cheat?

I've been playing online on XBOX live and there have been a NUMBER of people who have been using original characters with different fighting styles. For example, an original Taki was playing in Apprentice's style or an original Amy (short and all) was fighting in Setsuka's style. How is everyone doing this?

There is a hack available on XBL that allows you do to that and many other things.
