Hey guys.
If you have owned the latest Mario Kart game for 3DS, do feel free to post here and discuss about the changes.
I havent gotten the game myself yet, but I did have a chance to play on a friend's 3DS, and here are my initial impressions in point form -
- 60 FPS at a constant rate, even with 3D bumped up to the max.
- 16 character roster instead of 24 in Mario Kart Wii.
- Drifting system is based off MK Wii, so cheap snaking moves ala MK DS are almost out
- Tricks are less fancier now (in MK Wii you would spin in the air as you did so, but now your character just strikes a pose)
- The new and remastered tracks are beautiful. Underwater sections are nothing special, but they're good enough.
- Apparently getting coins dont increase your speed like in older MK games. They're there to help you unlock kart bodies, gliders, and wheels. The more you get, the more you unlock.
Thats about it I guess.
