Hey everyone

Hi guys, I'm Bill! Picked up SCV a couple months ago after playing at a friends, used to play lots of casual SCII back in the day. After getting endlessly slaughtered on ranked, I dropped it for a couple months, but I'm jumping back in now and am looking to improve. I play Hilde, and I'd like to learn Viola and Tira (though I understand Viola is somewhat frowned upon, no?) Anyway, I'm pretty novice, the biggest hurdle I face right now is taking less than a decade to trigger my Critical Edge haha. Hoping to meet some cool people here!

Hi! Welcome! If you wanna learn some tech and combos and whatnot check out the soul arenas for those respective characters. Viola ain't too frowned anymore now that people actually know what to do =)

Welcome!
For Critical Edge on a standard xbox controller using the analog stick, I find it best to input 23698741236 A+B+K (ie, 1.25 circles counter clockwise, starting from down). Not sure about any other controllers/pads/sticks, though.

Like Jimbonator said, Soul Arenas are your best friends for specifics about your character.

Enjoy your stay!

Pleased to meet you.

The best way to do CEs is pretend they're like SFIV supers. Remember the method of how to get Ryu's Hadoken. It's just 236236A+B+K. In other words, slide your thumb two quarter circles and press A+B+K(X, Y, and B on X-box controller).

236 just means quarter circle forward. The gaming language is very mandatory to learn, but I suggest getting used to the game again before you do nerd talk like us haha.

That means spar with some peeps here to learn some stuff. Bare in mind, we will use whatever it takes to win so don't get upset at your opponent if they spammed, teabag, ring out, etc. The very nature of FGs is to win it so competitive egos are needed.

I will now point you to what's called a SC bible imho. This guy sat and made all of this inclusive info for peeps like me and you. Click here.

If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask around. Someone will help. Hope to see you around.

Just do this move in the D-Pad twice:
