Hey everybody. I've been lurking these forums for a little while now, and with SC5 coming up so soon, I decided to finally join the community.
A little about myself:
I've been playing SoulCalibur since the first SoulCalibur installment (Not including Soul Edge/Blade). I've never played professionally, but I've played the hell out of every entry in the series since on console. Among my friends I'm unbeatable, but I know I'd get torn apart by most of the pro community here. (I consider myself above average skill level)
My main has always been Mitsurugi, since the first time I played SC, in a movie theater arcade. Just killing time before the show, I put in my quarters and picked him because he looked cool. I managed to beat the Arcade mode without putting in more quarters with Mitsu, and I fell for the game and the character. (I lucked out picking such a basic, but useful character my first time, I know).
From there I spent too much time in GameStop playing the display of SC1 (I never owned a Dreamcast) when I couldn't go to the arcade, and then I had SC2 for the PS2, and the rest is history.
I also main Astaroth (Who I have more success with than Mitsu, admittedly) and Nightmare (Who I'm only okay with).
I'm based in Northern Virginia, if there are any local SC fans who would like to meet up for a game some time.
I look forward to be a part of this awesome community and get tips from people who understand the finer points of the game better than I.
