I wanted to created a more appropriate thread because the thread on your first fighting game got me reminiscing about when I first started out playing Street Fighter 2 on the SNES when I was a little kid. I would play it for hours with my brother and his friends. I wasn't into fighting games then and didn't think much about Street Fighter because I was just okay at it. I would always use Guile because I could only do the moves that required a charging motion because I could not throw a fireball for the life of me. It took me a year to finally throw one but that's when the game really opened up for me, and from there my life has been for fighting games.
From there I just became superior to my brother and friends to the point where I was unbeatable. After a while of playing someone you can't beat it stops becoming fun so I would always win but then try not to win too much so that everyone would continue to keep playing.
So I just wanted to find out what everyone else's fond memories are and talk about more games from back in the day. I got some more memories to share later on.
