Just ordered a custom stick from arcade-in-a-box and i had a few questions for all you seasoned veterans out there.
First, what's the learning curve like? By that I mean how long did it take you to get comfortable enough to execute most commands on the fly. I have some experience back from when Soul Cal II and Mortal Kombat were in arcades, but I'd hardly call myself a pro.
Secondly, how do you hold your joystick? The most comfortable method I've found is to rest the side of my middle finger underneath the ball of the joystick and use my thumb and index finger to hold the top. The problem with this method is that it's hard to quickly tap
and
. I also have a hard time hitting the
direction at all. Any tips?
Lastly, what's a good button layout for this game. Right now I have my buttons laid out like this:

I'm thinking I should map something to the other two positions. Any advice?
