Controllers with the exact same layout for PS3 and Xbox 360

This is basically for ppl who want to play on both PS3 and Xbox 360 without having to adapt to the controller at all.

So far I've found 3 3rd party controllers that offer the exact layout for both systems:

Of course from the pic the layout doesn't look the same but catch this, you can swap the d-pad and the analogue sticks to fit your layout preference. I even heard you can switch the Xbox 360 analogue for the PS3's analogue as well as the d-pads and vice versa. The only thing I'm weary about is that the face buttons uses membrane technology instead of micro switches. But still by far this is the type of controller I'm aiming to get until further updates of other controllers.

Unlike the MLG pad, the six face buttons as well as the thumb stick all have micro switches. Complains I hear is that it wears off very easily mostly on the thumb stick part.

There's nothing I can say about it, but if you're a fan of the floating d-pad this you may wanna check into.

I was going to reccomend the Fighting Commander PRO, sadly I remembered that it's for PS3 only.

Other than that, Nyko has a PS3 controller laid out like a 360 one, though it doesn't look too impressive.

One problem though before people get the wrong idea. If you're going to play across different systems you'll still need a converter.
If you're skilled enough, you can take something like a Cthulhu board and padhack it into the controller. It's been done before on SRK Tech Talk (look for Gummowned).

How much does a converter cost around? Can you give me an average?

I was thinking perhaps buy one for PS3 and Xbox 360 (I know it sounds crazy); or hopefully bump into someone in a tourney who's willing to share their controller. It's crazy I know but with some tournies going wired it maybe a possibility.
