COD5 pros/cons review & discuss

Just picked it up the other day. Have been a cod fan since COD2. While the release of cod4 blew me away and truley revolutionized the mulitplayer online shooter. COD5 has IMO just continued that! I was not as blown away as I was with COD4. But i was not dissapointed either. I love the flame thrower. Burning someone out of a tree gives me wood. I love the fact that its one of the only WWII games where you fight the japenese.

What are the thoughts of the forum. Any glitches bugs, pros, cons, likes dislikes etc. Always looking for a new member for my team. Review and discuss people!!

i hate the spawning issues. At times it will spawn and enemy on your side of the map, or you get spawned right in front of someone. Its already on the list to get updated. Zombies is pretty fun. I love that shit!!

Love all the new weapons, specially the ppsh. Im so torn between SC4 and COD5!!

I've only played it at a friend's house. I like the assortment of weapons but what I really dislike about this game was the split-screen view. I mean, WTF? It just seemed unnecessary to have it like that.

Been a COD fan since COD. :p

Just not a fan of any of the ones not made by Infinity Ward. COD3 came pretty close to beng a decent COD game but ultimately failed. From what I've played of this new one, it feels like Treyarch has finally figured out how to make a good COD game. I'm pleasantly surprised.

WaW was able to genuinely entertain me, and that's impressive considering that Modern Warfare was just earlier this year and the memories are still fresh in my mind. The pleasant surprise was the ability for the game to successfully blend many visual/audio/story cues from popular war movies and true stories and made it a truly touching experience. Even though the game is not as 'polished' as Modern Warfare, I definitely feel that the fact that it is the most visceral representation of a true conflict adds entertainment value. Even though we saw a mostly American focused campaign in the previews leading up to the game, it's actually the Russian campaign that's the more epic and intense of the two, partly due to better voice acting and scenario as well as the relative unfamiliarity the common gamer would have with the historical context of the Eastern Front. All in all it is the most entertaining WWII game I've ever played, and I see it as the successful twin brother of Modern Warfare.

i totally agree. the infinity ward ones were defeinetly the best of the lot. Im still confused why nobody like cod3. I thought it was fun! i played the shit out of it. But when 4 came out it was a whole different ball game. COD5 im pleased with though. Mostly cause i think treyarch just copied most everything, took some opinions from some players and changed back to WWII. I plays almost exactly the same. This game im sure was just a "filler" till infinity ward can finish up COD6!

anyone else think that Kiefer southerland is doing some of the voice work. or is it jsut me?
