Throwing punches always matter. Functional muscle is always good. And you never know when you are going to need to deck someone.

Also biceps are best for climbing / doing pull-ups, in a fight it's not the bicep squeeze that gets you a submission, it's the angle and elevation of the choke... =P I always thought big arms meant easy chokes until I started doing training.

Oui, going to a party means is quite possible you will meet a drunk jerk doing stupid stuff, and will try to fight you for no reason. So is best you know at the very least how to fight back.

My comment was stating more along the lines of men shouldn't be going out looking for fights. The only time a man should be raising fists at anyone is to defend someone else. But yeah, knowing how to defend yourself is always good as well.

ishimaru, you do have a good point. But what if the person is more swole than you? Fighting the dude would have healthy intentions though, such as defending your pride .

Point is, sometimes I'm not sure if I would end up killing someone if I were to fight them.
If someone hit me first, my savage instincts would go beyond what people deem as 'self defense'. This is why staying calm and collected is better.
But at the end of the day, I'd rather punch someone back than just let someone get a free punch out of me.

Why would I go after the dude when it's clearly the woman who is to blame for cheating? I never understood that logic. And lockdown brings up a good point. Whether you mean to or not, there's always the slight chance you'll hit someone at the wrong spot too hard, and boom, you tool away a family member from someone and your family lost one because you'll be in jail.

Another thing, if you plan is to get hit first. You plan to lose 90% of all fights you ever get in. If someone punches you in the face hard and you've never been in a fight. I assure you, your next reaction is to curl up or run away. It's best to to get the first blow in.

Always just beat your opponent until they can't fight back.. NEVER kill them... Choke them out unconscious, or break an arm.
