I just started NG+ so I have a bit to look forward to. Why did it get boring for you?

It comes down to how excited I was for patch notes, only to realise they only solve yesterday's problems. Made me realise how little I'm enjoying myself...

First issue, everyone has the same build. Highly defensive armour (because why not?), GMB and a greatsword. That's boring on its own, but it becomes annoying on top of that due to the latency which means that against its phantom range, regardless of how much distance your roll covers, you have to roll every swing until they run out of stamina.

That's made even worse by Soul Memory, because there's no reason not to have 99 END. So every fight just derives into me rolling around for 8 hours and doing no damage when I land a hit. You might say I should use a weapon buff, but regardless off whether or not I want to, that won’t work anymore.

Nerfing buffs, Santier's Spear and Avelyn doesn't fix this issue... It actually makes it worse. The standard GMB/Tank that everyone seems to be is only made stronger by nerfing what used to do damage... they needed to buff pure melee, not nerf buffs... upbalancing. Either that or nerf GMB and armour so it isn't basically a requirement.

Im going to be honest, even with the new patches thats coming along i think the biggest issue in the pvp is the mechanics itself. Getting stunlocked in 3-4 hits and losing more than half your life will forever be a problem in this games pvp life cycle. Along with weapon hitboxes with stupid reach, and the nerfed to stamina its just a huge stepback imo.

Second issue is that no matter what build I try to make and how much I try to keep it interesting, every build devolves into 1 basic strategy. Figuring out the strategy was fun, actually using it isn't.
Greatsword(UGS) guy only really needs his jump attack, dual-Mytha’s guy is basically just R1 spamming… I may as well just 2-hand 1 of them for the parry.
