Yeah... which game?
I don't think Street Fighter has difficult execution compared to some and unless Blazblue is more popular, which I don't think it is, I can't think of what game you might be talking about.
Well I know it WAS very popular, but recently it's gotten very stale. That game has finally reached the bottom of the well as far as new technology goes, so the tiers are quite established now... and as such, not many of the characters get used, much like the older MvC games.
@garjian MVC3 tournaments seem to have the most hype of of all fighting games. Has it really died down?
@DrakeAldan Are you a fan? Will we see you at an ultra SF tournament on youtube? Hoping you main poison or elena.
See? I thought so...
It's not the hardest execution... ... ...it's hard though. :/
I really want to get into Street Fighter because... people actually play it? ...I'm just awful at it... probably because I never play it, go figure.
Can only use El Fuerte, will never learn fundamentals. :/
@Robert_J_King I'm not really a fan. I never have been, to be honest. But, like I said, largest fanbase... there's people to play with anywhere you go. And CAPCOM, evil as they are, supported their game for 5 years... The tournaments are always bigger, there seems to be more respect... just look at Kayane, or Perfect Legend.
But that's what I don't get, though. The learning curve in SF is steep. And if the game's so hard, I would have thought half the userbase would have quit by now. I mean from a sheer statistical standpoint they can't all be pros who hit their just frames (i.e. links) every time.
On the flipside, I can teach you a tournament-ready Mitsu/Pyrrha in a matter of days.
@EyeofCalamity Depends on who you play. You're not going to be doing much of anything on a normal pad, maybe if you have a specialty type like a Hori FCPro (if it hasn't broken on you already...)
There are a couple of characters you can use reasonably well, but you still have to practice.
@Robert_J_King Yeah, we can do something on PSN, or if you have any replays for me I can analyze those. Let me know when you want to do it (I won't be able to do Friday this week).
Hey Robert what did you mean by reaching the ranks of the 8way well known? i mean if you're referring to players like woahzz, ramon and lost providence then I think reaching that requires alot of offline play my friend.
@ Drake: Thanks for the response, I been doing pretty well on pad over the years since its all I had.
@EyeofCalamity Just becoming known, well liked, respected etc. Like Drake, or Pocky, etc. Gaining relevance and making a closer connection to this forum and it's members. This is my first forum, actually. Also I want to kick ass and maybe talk shit.
