that is probably the better idea. not only are they gonna be cheap with new consoles coming out, but you'll have something that works for years to come. you get what you pay for though - im certain however that SC isnt the ONLY game you play, correct?
also if you're xbox is having trouble reading discs, tapping on the xbox overtop of the disc tray repeatedly until it reads the disc can fix it. its worth a try if yours is busted anyways.
I've tried most of most of the tricks in the book trying to work, the only way I've managed to get games to work is turning the console on and off 1,000s of times.
and the other games I play are digital copies of ones I could not find. There's now only 2/3 games on disk I try to play
If I can't manage to find a retail one at a local store I usually just buy the game new and have it shipped to me. I do it much more often since I'm never buying from Gamestop again(since they don't sell 3rd party Xbox controllers anymore). I can't stand having to DL my games when I want to play them then deleting them when my HD is too full to make room for other games.
Forza and it's DLC take that much up. I had to buy a new HDD when Forza 3 came out. Forza 4 takes even more space I believe. Who knows. I can't remember how much F3 took anymore. I think disk 2 was like 8GB and DLC was another 2-3GB. Disk 1 was a bunch too. Had to install that for loading times that where up to 45 seconds faster(yes F3 loads that slow, would take like 2-3 minutes sometimes).
Just looked at my F4 data. Disk 2 and DLC take up about 5GB. I must have either remembered disk 2 on F3 incorrectly or those tracks they took out of Forza take up a shit load(they removed 2 ten mile tracks and variants of those 2 from F3 to F4). I miss those tracks. Either way, takes up a big chunk of space on smaller HDD.
