So what are you testing out Slayer?

Oh lol i ran a web browser out of linux command line. It was text based and i just wanted to see if it would allow me to post properly XD it did. The browser may not be pretty, but it is very very fast.

Oh, it's good to hear that it's fast :D
And who needs prettiness when you can have efficiency lol. Speaking of which, I think I need to search around for something to boost up my laptop. It's pretty slow these days :(

well there's lots of things you could do. first of all, run a virus scan. then after thats done, you could clear off all the stuff you dont use(like all the garbage ware that comes pre-installed on a computer), and run a program like ccleaner after that to make sure everything is off.

then i'd say defrag your hard drive - personally i prefer defraggler but you can use windows defrag as well. After that, make sure all of your hardware components are clean. for a laptop this would pretty much mean making sure that your vents get vaccumed or dusted out.

if its still running slow after that, you may need to look at how many processes you're running at once, and whether or not you need all of those processes running at the same time. quit out of the ones you dont need and only run them when you need to use them.
