I could give it a read-over and offer my opinion, if you like. Curious, is it a first draft? Because if you want some general advice, I got loads I've learned :)

Actually, I haven't even started it. I've just mainly been designing the atmosphere, setting, and characters.

That being said, maybe you could make sure my idea isn't going to fail.

You can make any idea work if you do it right. That sounds weird, I know, but it's true. That's what I love about it, it's not like math. There is not just one 'right' way to tell a story. It's all how it works on the page and what you put your emphasis on.
