And no the Redguard in the Elder scrolls aren't black people. They don't have the facial structure. They resemble people from the Mediterranean if anything.

I could only think that its because most RPG's are set in a medieval setting where black people where rather uncommon. Of course that doesn't matter much when we are talking about fantasy though...
