Gotta agree with IAdoreBunnies here, Cervy does have the most retarded backstep. He can get away with backstepping in such negative frames, it's almost funny. (though I do play as Cervantes for fun, so I'm not complaining!)

I think everyone agrees with him. I love cervantes though.

Amazing. I just ran a test on his backstep against Raph, and it appears that he is the only character with a guaranteed backstep right after getting poked by 2K. He's able to dodge every followup move.

See bunnie? I told you cervys dreaded Backstep is feared. As a sieg player imo it completely destroys the MU by how abusable it is. And i am sure that goes for a lot of other chars too.

I gotta upload a video on this. Yea, his backstep is good. His sidestep is also good. I wonder what makes it good though?

I don't fully understand what makes his backstep so amazing either. It just feels so safe. Maybe it's just the distance covered, but it somehow feels as though it comes out quicker than other backsteps. Cervy has OP everything, it's great.

I thought it was just because it was both fast and covers a lot of distance. I was surprised that in your test it didn't seem to be that great.

I just know that cervy can backstep siegs 6B in terms of distance, which is beyond stupid imo.

I've measured his distance. It's good. But Aeon, Nightmare, and Ivy have steps that cover a greater distance. He's one step under them in distance. But this doesn't make their step better than his, of course.

Well he can when played at mid range. I genuinely had no idea quite how bad Cervy's spacing can screw Sieg over until our matches though. Fuck your giant sword, I can practically teleport with my backstep.

Yes at mid range i meant. Backstepping at close range against siegfried is just asking to get CH 3B'd.

Backsteps that cover the most distance are Cervy, Nightmare, Aeon, and Ivy.

I'm surprised Ivy is put on the same level as those guys. I guess maybe because she doesn't get quite as good use out of it as the others?
