Yeah it was, ggs. What happened with SCIV?

Everyone gave up after 6 months apparently. I wasn't a player back then. 2 years later, a few online players including Deathsm8 and me started playing together a lot and decided to start playing offline (one guy came all the way from Wales).

Me and the Welsh guy started setting up tournaments in 2011 and the scene started to grow again. It was still pretty small by the end of SCIV but at least there was a scene.

At least there's hope then. I can't really work out why people don't play the game. I know there's a few balance issues but I think competitively it's a good game

The departure of top players has really really hurt the game. Deathsm8 and the others I met knew about the top players from Europe and looked up to them, watching their videos to learn about the game, especially Keev and Belial. That's how I learned about them and how I started ti get better.

The hype of competing against the top players was what drew me to becoming a tournament player. When I actually played these guys it was the most fun I ever had. But now, the top players are dropping like flies - Saitoh, Kayane, Maxou etc. - and the individual countries can't support especially big offline scenes.
