I was kind of expecting it after SCIV. But everyone was like "no! SCV is a new game, it will be huge for the forst 6 months and will last into the years ahead!" No dice. Dead dead dead. Didn't help that Euro community hates it, no new players to speak of, US likes it but no-one goes even to MLG events, and new bigger Japan community has no real link to the western ones.
Well, SC5 had the potential to become a great game with a huge scene for several years, but Namco has other priorities. Half-finished, laughable support... I'm still hoping for WGC and EBO next year which I would attend.
I blame the players actually. The single-player content was terrible, but Namco put all their effort into the multiplayer. Which is what all the hardcore players said they wanted, but now most have turned their back on the game. It's not up to Namco to organise tournaments or make people go to them.
Not really, yes hardcore gamers asked for a solid MP but this games doesn't have it, is fun and...fun? but is not solid, maybe if they patch it again and fix all the issues it might be better and altho is not up to Namco to organize shit, they should at least listen to the fans and give us the freaking patch!
I understand your opinion, but blaming the players entirely would be wrong. E.g. Namco didn't give a fuck about what the people who created the guide suggested (like you), and the patches weren't well-thought-out. That's the reason why the game seems very random in some aspects, like some moves are way too spammable for their properties. Also imbalance is an issue.
But I agree, some things are the communities fault's. For example when a lot of French players publically announced how terrible this game is and that they wanted to boycott it: They digged the grave for this game in France.
Let's face it, France is not wrong, the game has too many issues. Is by far the most spammable game in the series, literally you can see players winning with just a couple of moves...Pat 66B/1K all you need to win.

I agree with that one and this is what frustrates people...go look at the 3B's in this game for example and look at yoshi 3b,tira's,cervantes,siegfried,pyrrha,viola,Ivy's look at how much damage they get off of it and tell me u can properly punish these moves? not really because most of them are either safe or too safe...thats just one example tho
another issue is the damage, is way too high. I agree that if you did something unsafe you should be punish and receive some damage for it but...not that much! and ToD combos or Asta combos on the wall, is just way too high, it ruins the fun.
