You could play a spacing char for some time and it surely will improve your spacing skills.

Maybe I should try Nightmare...?
ChaosK
ChaosK
Yup Nightmare would be a good choice.
ChaosK
ChaosK
Although i want to add that spacing is something that needs time and familiarity with your own char because you need to develop a feeling for the range of your attacks. This is something which will come over time.

Of course, as you know, I play Viola, so...is there anything to her spacing game? Except trying to stop the other player spacing you, that is. I don't suppose you remember, but when we played, did you get the impression that I moved very poorly? My memory is that the times you won, you didn't space me out, but saw what I was doing when you used 3b and countered it.

No i didn't get that impression, it seemed very solid to me. Erm let me get this straight first there is a difference between spacing and zoning. Zoning basically means to keep other chars away, so it is exclusive to chars with big range. Spacing on the other hand is something that is important for all chars because it basically means to make smart decisions with your range.
ChaosK

Violas biggest weakness is her short range, so proper spacing in the sense of how do i approach close range is very important for her.

I do believe that siegfried might be her worst MU (either him or NM) because he is the best spacing char, which caters to violas weaknesses.
ChaosK
ChaosK
On the other hand i do believe the siegfried is the worst char at close range, so this MU pretty much boils down to who spaces better. If sieg can keep viola away he will win, if viola can enter close range, she will win.

I am no viola expert, so i can't give you hints on how you can do this but i personally think that 6B+K sounds like an effective tool to get closer.

Oh, I really don't think Siegfried is such a bad matchup for her! If he is, he's certainly not as bad as Nightmare, Oprah, or Mitsu. I think this because whenever I face a good Siegfried player (such as yourself) I can at least put up a good fight, whereas some good players of the other characters destroy me (particularly in the case of Nightmare and Oprah) and I'm left feeling as though there's nothing I can do.
