    @Solo: You're probably right on that - it kind of bothers me, though, especially when coming from parents, counselors, and so on. Admittedly, the 'what' is something I don't have an answer for, so I'm a bit biased on the subject... but it just seems to me that who you are and who you'd like to be would be an equally strong, if not stronger guide in life than just one, career-based goal.

    @Moneymuffins: 18, going on 19. Just started my last year of high school, so the whole, "figure out what you want to do for the next 40-50 years" conflict is at it's peak, at least in my household. And indeed, I'm a fool. I think I'm contractually obligated to be one until I turn AT LEAST 21. And then probably a whole lot longer. ;)
