At least a lot of German people still play the game online! It looks like people play SCV online but there are less offline meetings and tournaments. Online is amazing, but it did more harm than good it seems. How ironic!
But then again, if it wasn't for online I fear the game would be already dead. It looks like a lot of people dislike it, or think it's getting boring very quickly. And of course it's imbalanced.
My advice - only play the game if its good. If you have people to play vs and tournaments to attend, if no , no poing fighting the uphill battle, learned it the hard way in SC4 (bet you did as well), I dont want to play alone like in SC4 anymore. If european stage dies (which for me is basically : "Will SCV be played in France and Cannes 2k13) I will either switch FG or go play some sort of MMORPG
I don't know how to deal with this right now. It's like, whenever I like something and want to become good at it, something else fails. In SC4 our local scene died quickly and I played only the laggy online for 2+ years. Now online is great but I see people hating on the game everywhere and quitting. I wanted to become good at SCV and play more competitively but i'm starting to realize soon there will be no point.
