I honestly think that it's not necessary. The 1p of Yoshi has a skull face. The tekken tag 2 has the sacred buddha look. Yeah, a sea creature would do just fine.

They are also 2 different people all together. This yoshimitsu makes the third we know about. 1st from tekken, second form the sc games before and now "the second" yoshimitsu. Perhaps he has his own tastes?

Nah, he's pretty much a "reskinned" Yoshi no matter how you slice it. If he did have a different taste, I wouldn't see what the past one have: Samurai looks, oddities, sea creatures, and buddha stuff. This new one happens to continue what the first one went through: In terms of Samurai look except more stylish with red and gold.
