2) There was something in Soul Blade called Weapon Clash, and was very different from what our weapon clashes are now. Today, a weapon clash either means one attack goes through the other entirely, or they both cancel each other out.

(Continued) In Soul Blade, if you had two moves of similar level, speed, and type, they would clash and there would be a little rock-paper-scissors mini-game where you had three attacks: A beat K, B beat A, K beat A. More than anything, it looked cool, and since SCV has really upped the "looking cool" factor from past games, would it be a good decision (balance wise) to bring it back?

I maintain that SCH is combo filler- as Sacharja pointed out, you should not be able to run a hit-level mixup out of a stance that is more or less designed to take advantage of you HITTING (or in the case of naked 2_B+K, evading) someone, and getting some free damage. As such, giving it a low is pointless on one end, and could make the moves that lead into it even MORE spammed by people if the low really good.

Clashing essentially introduced randomness in soul blade, and that was never a good thing. The best "clashing" system was in SC2, where B's "broke" A's. There were a few situations where you could induce someone to predictably 2A and "break through" it with a move of similar speed- a good example is Asta hits you with 6K on normal, opp does 2A to avoid a throw mixup, but 66B "breaks" the 2A and CH's.

I think that giving a low might really not be a bad idea, but from the stance that hitting it gives mixups, not that the move itself is a mixup. (Continued because of stupid character limit)

To elaborate, NBS 2A was i29, and NBS B was i18 - that isn't a mixup against anyone good unless you're online. However, if you evaded with 2*8B+K, you may have enough frames to whiff punish with it. NBS 2(A) also went into NRSS (SRSH), so the mix-up came from being able to hit a really slow low in SCH, and NOT from just being in SCH itself.
