Firefox has had really terrible scrolling for the last few years. So bad that even I had to switch since it would be choppy even on my reasonably good rig. It's kind-of just the facts sadly.

Swap to Chrome, get a better computer, or try to disable hardware acceleration in the options menu in Firefox.
