Tournament experience?

I entered one local scrub tourney, me and a few locals. I placed second, having lost to a Sophitia who came back through the loser's bracket and beat me in the finals. I later went back about a month later and beat the shit out the guy 30-0 when he played as every single one of his characters.
 
2 local tourneys- a third strike tourney that I lost and a SC4 tourney that I lost, but I blame it on the fact that they were using a brand new ps3 so Yoshimitsu wasn't yet selectable and they didn't allow control changes.
 
I've only been to two tournaments.

My first tournament was the biggest known as the T8 tourney consisting of 21 SC participants; good times there tied for 7th and the game we were playing at that time was SC3.

Second tourney was a local tournament I think about 12 ppl showed up for SC4; good games as usual, I tied for 5th.
 
It was the day after it was released I think. So I can kinda understand, but it's a frickin tournament. Make it look like one. I prolly should have asked for my money back.
